Upcoming Bike Honda CBR 600R

Honda is all set to launch the CBR 600F in the Indian market and the bike can already be seen being tested in some parts of the country. CBR 600F is based on the 600ccied Hornet and is a very good contender for the biker entering into the big bike segment. CBR 600F is powered by a in-line four cylinder motor which churns out a very good 100.6bhp and a maximum torque of 64Nm which is good enough for it to achieve the speeds in access of 200kmph. The bike, instead of being a hardcore track oriented machine is focused more towards the daily riding; it is more for the guy who would ride his bike to work, track and also on the highways. It has been placed in between the Hornet and the Track focused 600 RR and it does shows in its behavioral manners and thanks to balanced ergonomics, the CBR600F is intended as a versatile mount suitable for everything from commuting to back road peg-scraping.

The rectangular-section, aluminium-backbone frame uses the engine as a stressed, structural member. Steering geometry is definitely on the sporty side, with the fully adjustable inverted 41mm fork providing 25 degrees of rake and 3.9 inches of trail. Wheelbase spans 56.6 inches. Dual 296mm discs are pinched by four-piston Nissin calipers and with the optional C-ABS it makes stopping a piece of cake.

The bike feels spacious and not cluttered. The bike offers plenty of room to tuck in behind the screen and at the same time the bike is comfortable enough for one to cruise all day long without getting tired or being blown away by the wind blast. CBR600F is going to be directly pit against the Kawasaki Ninja 650R, Triumph Street Triple and Ducati Monster 795 and will be placed in the same price segment as well. Though there are no official dates from Honda on the launch of CBR600F but expect the bike to launch by the end of 2012. The CBR600F will be priced between 5-5.5lakh rupees.
